Southern Cross Lodge is a perfect choice for families, travellers on a budget and groups when looking for accommodation in Methven. The Lodge offers a total of 52 rooms including Studio Rooms (twin or super king), Lodge Rooms (twin or super king) and Lodge Family Rooms (super king with bunks). 

All our rooms feature an ensuite, TV, a heater and receive daily service checks.

When you stay with us you will receive a continental breakfast which is included in your room rate. If you are after a cooked breakfast, we have some great recommendations for you to try out in the centre of Methven. If you are looking for a meal at night, there are some great places to dine in Methven.  If there is a group of you we can cater cooked meals for groups of 10 or more. Please enquire if you are travelling as a group and require meals. Our evening meals are of a good hearty New Zealand fare, two course buffet style. We can of course cater for any special dietary requirements with these meals as well.

Studio Rooms

The Lodge Family Rooms are designed to cater for 2 Adults / 2 Children, 3 Children or 4 Children and come with two different options in terms of layout.

There is an option for interconnecting rooms where each room has their own bathroom.  1 room has a king bed and  the other room three single beds.  Our largest yet spacious family room boasts a king bed, 2 single beds and a set of bunks plus an ensuite.

If you require just the one family room and a cosier feel

these rooms feature a super king bed, a set of bunks and an ensuite.  For these bookings is it best to contact us to check availability so we can work out a room configuration that best suit your needs.

These rooms offer a view of either the courtyard or of our back lawn (where the local playground is accessible). 

Triple Rooms

The triple rooms are a great option for groups of friends, school groups or just mates escaping for a ski trip. These rooms have one bunk bed and one single bed with its own ensuite bathroom. A great affordable option and is our most popular room type for school groups. Each room has its own TV, heater and offers plenty of space for luggage. The rooms look out on to either the pool area or the car park and are located close to the games room and dining area.
